About Us
Our Story
RowHouse is a neighborhood restaurant rooted in comfort, connection, and culinary craft, not to mention, convenience for all baseball and soccer fans, as well as out-of-town visitors to the Capitol Riverfront. Located inside the Cambria Hotel at 69 Q Street SW, we offer shareable plates, thoughtfully crafted mains, and cocktails inspired by the Southwest waterfront. Whether you're here to unwind after a game, connect with friends, or celebrate a special occasion, RowHouse provides a welcoming space where nostalgia and modern energy collide.
Named for Wheat Row, D.C.’s first terraced row house built in the 1700s, and a nod to the city’s rich history and resilience, RowHouse is more than a restaurant; it’s a destination where memories are made over food, drinks, and connection. These homes stood as a symbol of the city’s early architecture, community, and craftsmanship, values we carry forward every day. Like its namesake, we blend history with hospitality, inviting guests to experience the charm of the past and the flavor of the present. Here, every meal and cocktail is an opportunity to be a part of D.C.’s ever-evolving story.
About the Neighborhood
RowHouse is nestled in the heart of Buzzard Point, where historic Southwest D.C. charm meets the vibrant energy of Capitol Riverfront. Just steps from Nationals Park and Audi Field, our neighborhood buzzes with energy, creativity, and local flavor.
Inside, repurposed brick and early 1900s artifacts pay tribute to D.C.’s heritage, while industrial-chic design and local art reflect its evolution. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, RowHouse offers a welcoming space for elevated comfort food, inventive cocktails, and authentic community connections. Whether you're a local or visiting the city, RowHouse is a warm, welcoming destination for good food, craft cocktails, and unforgettable moments.
About the Culinary Journey
Award-winning Chef Malcolm Mitchell — currently the Corporate Director of Restaurants & Bars for Donohoe Hospitality Service — leads RowHouse’s culinary vision, creating dishes that honor ancestral ingredients while offering a contemporary, approachable dining experience. Each plate reflects his belief that food tells the story of culture, connection, and community, one bite at a time, bringing people together and celebrating the vibrant spirit of Southwest D.C.
